Adult Children of Alcoholics - Janina and Heather

Janina and Heather grew in families affected not only by alcoholism but by the trauma of war. When they joined Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families they heard the stories of others with diverse experiences of trauma and began to make sense of some of the long-lasting detrimental effects of their own experiences. In this discussion Janina and Heather discuss the traits common among members of ACA such as feelings of isolation, an over-developed sense of responsibility and loss of identity.
