Story: Separating Pain From Shame

Whether on our own or on the bad advice of others, we often attach false meaning to hard situations and make them harder. This month, I'm sharing a story about discovering that a painful experience I had wasn't my fault—it was just painful. This story is about learning to name our pain, fear, grief, and disappointment for what they are - without the additional burden of shame.
