Episode 22 with Donna Kerridge - Rongoā Māori and connection

On this episode we talk with Donna Kerridge, a traditionally trained Rongoā Māori practitioner, Medical Herbalist, a passionate advocate for traditional healing practices and about sharing traditional wisdoms to help others grow, being part of an environmental restoration movement called Tiwaiwaka and an advocate to help put some wrongs of the past that still impact her people today, right.

We explore Māori perspectives, Rongoā Māori, natural healing and its relevance in the modern world, connection with the Earth, focusing on wellbeing instead of cure, restoring the maori (life-force) of ourselves and the Earth, connecting with our ancestors and respect.

Donna talks about her upbringing with these principles, moving away from her tradition as a teenager, Western and ancient medicine, being in nature and seeing how she heals herself to heal ourselves, the notion of belonging, purpose and your unique gifts.
