Healing Through Community: Susie’s Complete Control Story

Three years ago, after many summers filled with excessive alcohol consumption leading to a strain on her marriage and wider relationships, and with the social hangover outlasting the warm weather, Susie decided it was time to finally change her relationship with alcohol.

After finding OYNB through social media, Susie embarked on an 8 week Complete Control challenge, finding her tribe with the other participants who were in a similar situation, by taking full advantage of the community that the program provided. Reflecting on her experience, Susie explains how important the role of daily routines are in sustaining a healthier lifestyle, how she rediscovered who she was by admitting her imperfections and how therapy brought about profound changes in all her relationships.

As her coach, Jen celebrates the successful transformation that Susie has undergone, describing her as “a powerhouse”.
