Gonzaga guard Steele Venters OUT for 2nd straight season! | Dusty Stromer’s role to increase again

Steele Venters suffered a left Achilles injury and will miss the 2024-25 college basketball season, his second straight season without playing a game for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Mark Few's team has the depth to shoulder his absence, but the Eastern Washington transfer and former Big Sky Player of the Year would have provided outside shooting and depth on the wing for the Zags, and now has to endure another full year of rehab after an ACL injury caused him to miss last year as well.

Dusty Stromer is likely going to fill the minutes that would have gone to Venters, and it will be a big storyline to see if he can shoot closer to the 41% from three he shot in the second half of last season. Emmanuel Innocenti, a transfer from Tarleton State, might fill in more minutes for Few and the Zags as well.
