In today’s episode of Brains Byte Back podcast, we sit down with Stuart Meczes, Creative Director at Contnt, a new subscription-based platform transforming the creator economy by offering unmatched royalties, diversified revenue streams, and prioritizing spotlight equality.
Stuart’s passion for content creation gave him the push to step away from his 9-5 sales manager role to pursue what he loved doing the most — writing. Today, he’s an Amazon top 20 bestselling author of 6 novels. He shares how he shifted focus in search of how he could utilize his writing skills elsewhere to support other content creators like himself, including within tech space, where he discovered Contnt. Which eventually led to his current role with the company.
Social media platforms have a system that favours creators with a larger following, making it difficult for other creators to gain visibility and make a decent wage. Stuart shares how Contnt uses technology to even out the playing field in terms of algorithms, compensation and valuable resources to support their user's growth.
