Welcome back to Go & Do! In this first episode of the year, Daniel and Fili discuss a bit of the background behind Section 1, including the involvement of William McClellin and the council that determined the need for the precursor to the Doctrine &Covenants, the Book of Commandments. They then discuss the overall purpose of D&C as presented in the chapter, the promises of forgiveness and support that the Lord offers the world through His gospel, and the need that each of us have to "search these commandments."
