Show NotesSegment 1:

Sam kicks off the show reading an excerpt from his book Everyday Awakening. In the chapter, We Create Our Lives through Focus, Energy, and Decisions, Sam talks about the effects of blaming others for personal failures. He explains that we are the only ones responsible for the outcomes of our life. In order to embark on a fulfilling journey we have to credit ourselves for not only our accomplishments but also for the moments of poor judgment. Sam adds how we choose to focus and put order energy will determine the decisions we make in our lives. Before the break, Sam shares a personal experience of when he was searching for a college to attend. He mentions how much of an influence his teacher had on him and how Sam’s decisions to focus his energy on his teacher’s guidance led him to where he is today.

Segment 2:

Sam continues to discuss the power of owning your decisions. He shares ways to make better decisions by being in tune with yourself. Sam explains ways our body communicates with us when we make decisions. When you are offered an opportunity does it make you feel like something is growing or expanding inside of you? Do you feel like you’re constricted or shrinking from it? These are different ways our body is trying to tell us how to feel in the moment. Sam also talks about how we show up in the world; says a lot about our outcomes. Our actions matter because the universe responds to our energy. Before the break, Sam gives us a new perspective on how to look at life. Maybe life is being lived through us as opposed to us living life. It doesn’t have to be about creating the life you want but allowing the life that wants to live through us come alive.

Segment 3:

What if everything in our life happens for a reason? Sam gives insight on accepting that everything in our life, the accomplishments and the painful challenges, is supposed to be there to create a path of opportunity. Sam shares a personal experience from 2010, where his longtime friend committed sucicide. Sam talks about the guilt he felt for not being able to help in time but comes to the conclusion that maybe, heartbreaking in all, the universe wanted those events to transpire to evolve and grow as an individual. Before the break, Sam informs his audience that life is beautiful as it is. Maybe the imperfections are part of the perfection.

Segment 4:

In the last segment of the year, Sam continues his discussion on life being perfect as it is. Happiness can’t be defined by your next accomplishment, it’s living in the moment that really makes us happy. Any day above ground is a good day, says Sam. He talks about having power to make your own choices and being in charge of your life. Before the end of the segment, Sam thanks the audience for the wonderful year. He informs everyone that Talk Radio will go dark until January 2022. He leaves us a message to live the life you want.
