Folate is a great thing - it's vitamin B9 and your body needs it to make new cells, replicate DNA, and so much more. But there are risks of too much folate, so how much folic acid is too much? And how dangerous is it to take high dose folic acid over time? The research exists for high dose folic acid, but what about L-5MTHF, or methyl folate? Does high dose methyl folate have the same risks as high dose folic acid?
We have so many questions, and very few definitive answers, but there is lots of information that we do have.
This episode of the To Health With That! podcast will cover the risks of high dose folic acid, the risks of high dose methyl folate, the risks of high dose L-5MTHF, and what we do and don't know from the research.
