As a 12 year old girl Irmgard Dixon escaped exploding trains, fields of death and bodies, nightly bombings, cold and starvation. She survives to become a Civil Engineer than later marries Gary Dixon and immigrates to the US to raise a great family, while her husband dedicates his life to the US Military.
