The Heart of a Healthy Home Heart to Heart Marriage

Ephesians 5:22-33

 A healthy, vibrant and godly marriage is SUPERNATURAL (Ephesians 5:18-21) Husbands: Reflect the heart of Jesus in sacrificially loving my wife (Ephesians 5:25-31) Jesus’ sacrificial love in giving His life for the world (John 3:16; 5:25) Husband’s sacrificial love: What am I giving up for my wife? Ask my wife if she feels loved sacrificially. Love and lead my wife spiritually from the Bible Love and lead my wife that brings out the best in her Leadership is about taking the initiative. Wives: Reflect the heart of Jesus in submitting to my husband (Ephesians 5:22-24) Jesus’ submission in His mission (John 4:34; Luke 22:42) Wife’s submission: Submission is the biblical calling of a wife to honor and affirm her husband’s leadership and to help him succeed. Submission is the wife’s to give to her husband and to God Submission has the boundary of God’s will as stated in the Bible Note: Both the wife’s AND husband’s core roles put the other spouse first.
