45: Death Race to Brazil - A Dystopia of 2050

The year is 2050. The world is in chaos. People are at each other's throats in divisive opinion. Humanity's future looks bleak. Stupidity and bureaucracy reign supreme over thought and compassion. So... it's pretty similar to 2019. Still, Adam Thomas and Thomas Mariani are here to parse out a Double Edged Double Bill all about dystopian fiction films in honor of Captive State coming out. Our good pick is Terry Gilliam's Brazil, a darkly humorous Orwellian nightmare. Our bad pick is Death Race 2050, Roger Corman's return to the his malicious satire racing classic but with more green screens and half hearted Malcolm McDowell.
