"I'm sorry" could be empathic, sympathetic, apologetic, manipulative or meaningless. This conversation has made me much more aware of how "I'm sorry" is used in everyday interactions and where I use it. I said "sorry" to my husband just this morning when I stepped in front of him as he was heading to the coffee pot.   Listen in as Kristin Bainger, Wayne Buckhanan, Tim Hawkes and I try to sort through what "I'm sorry" actually means and if it is a useful piece of communication or if we should remove it from our conversations.
