Mrs. Ruby H. Mangum, 81, of Sanford passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Gordon and Elsie Womble Holder. Ruby worked and retired from Magneti Marelli in Sanford. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church in Lillington. Ruby was preceded in death by her second husband, George Mangum, son, Samuel A. Bolton, grandson, Joseph Michael Lewis, brothers, George, Norman, Howard, Delano Holder and sisters, Hazel Denning and husband Al, Joyce Stewart and Jean Tart and husband Cornelius.
Ruby is survived by her son, Gary G. Bolton and wife Tina of Broadway; daughter, Michelle Bolton of Lillington; 6 grandchildren, Amy Dalrymple and husband David, Joshua Bolton, Kevin Bolton and wife Delina, J.R. Cardona, Dustin Frank and wife Taryn, Shannie Moore; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, John Warren Holder and wife Linda of Sanford; sisters-in-law, Ruth Holder and Betty Holder; brother-in-law, Cat Stewart all of Lillington; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Spring Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jerome Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 1:00-1:45.
