When we are actively listening to our thoughts we are becoming aware of what we are thinking and how it is causing us to feel. When we allow our thoughts to be on autopilot mode it gives complete power to our thoughts to dictate how we feel and experience the world. Being aware of our thoughts is most important in the practice of transmuting our thought process. We can through our reactive feeling and response recognize the type of thoughts that are causing disturbance or distorting our peace.
The success of the practice of transmuting our thoughts depends upon the dedication and determination of actively practicing a new pattern in place of the old. It is necessary to be aware of our thoughts and proactively shift the negative thought pattern to a more loving, grateful, caring, and peaceful thought to shift the thinking pattern. May we remember that our thoughts activate our emotional state therefore they hold lots of power.
