Economic Insights 31 Oct 16: US overtakes Australia to build biggest homes

According to the latest CommSec Home Size Trends Report, the US has overtaken Australia to build the biggest homes. The average floor area of a new single-family house in the US in 2015 was 249.6 square meters – 10 per cent larger than in Australia.
