Mid-Session 23 Apr 18: Market shrugs off weak lead from Wall Street to trade higher

The Australian sharemarket has kicked off the week in positive territory, shrugging off a negative lead from Wall Street. The ASX 200 is up 0.3%, supported by strong gains from the banks and miners.
