Shaunie Cousins is a wife, mother of eight in a beautifully blended family, and a fierce advocate for resilience, healing, and hope. A survivor of 15 years of domestic abuse, she rebuilt her life from the ground up and is now competing for Mrs. Oregon America 2025 with a platform rooted in community connection and sustainable resilience. Through her initiative Rise Through Resilience and her accessibility project Pageant Pathways, Shaunie works to ensure that no woman feels alone in her comeback story.

She also serves alongside her husband—a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve—as a Key Support Liaison, helping connect and uplift military families in their own moments of need. Her belief is simple but powerful: challenges don’t define you, they refine you.
