The Stories That Brought You Here
Society & Culture
Luke moved to Vancouver Island from England at the age of nine. Having a deep interest in art at that young age, he would find encouragement from teachers along the way. As the years went on, he found inspiration for his art through Victoria's punk scene, hitching across Canada and international travel. An illustrator, designer, muralist and painter, he co-founded the Island Folds residency with his wife, Ange and became the City of Victoria's first artist in residence in 2016.
In this wide-ranging interview, we explore these subjects along with the power of humour, hustling, developing trust, self-confidence, learning through travel, pranks and much more.
