Market Close 23 July 19: ASX 200 finishes higher with gains for the Energy, Consumer Staples and Consumer Discretionary sectors

The ASX200 built on early gains over the course of the afternoon, although some late selling saw the index end off session high to close up 33.4 pts to 6724.6.
