ABI interviews Shawn Duriez of Avant-Garde Artisans Brasseurs

Shawn Duriez and Renaud Gouin brewed beers together as Avant-Garde for many years before opening their taproom in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district of Montreal in 2019. And just before this interview, a massive kitchen was added to the taproom. The duo met when they were, like Tico Pavisian of Benelux and Drew Stevens of Kahnawake Brewing, members of the MontreAlers homebrewing club and, by the taste of their new beers, their partnership is still going strong.
