Miracles: Healing of the Blind - Week 6

This week's sermon explored the powerful miracle of Jesus healing a man born blind in John 9, emphasizing that Jesus's miracles point to His identity as the Messiah and the light of the world. The healing transcends the physical, illustrating how Jesus changes the way we see both literally and spiritually, ultimately impacting how others perceive us. The blind man's journey to sight and then to belief and worship demonstrates the transformative power of encountering Jesus and shifting our perspective.

We learned that our response to Jesus is crucial. Obstacles such as prioritizing religion over a relationship with Jesus, operating in disbelief, misplaced fears, and dismissing what we don't understand can lead to spiritual blindness. The call is to respond like the healed man: with obedience to Jesus's instructions and a trusting heart that believes and worships Him. This allows Jesus to open our eyes, change our perspective, and ultimately transform how we see ourselves and how the world sees us.
