The Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes says Ireland could not accept any consolidation of its corporate taxes. But he said he didn’t see any difficulty with agreeing to an outline proposal on a corporate tax base. Mr Hayes was reacting to the announcement of new EU plans for a Europe-wide corporate tax base.
