Market Close 12 Jan 23: ASX 200 hits 5-week high

The Australian sharemarket rose for the sixth time in seven days, with the ASX 200 lifting by 1.2% and hitting a 5-week high in the process. All 11 sectors rose and BHP Group (BHP) hit another record high. An update on US inflation is due tonight.
