In 1975, comedian Rudy Ray Moore made the film DOLEMITE, a technically terrible movie that had massive appeal upon its release and continues to endear itself to audiences 44 years later. In 2019, Netflix partnered with Eddie Murphy to bring his story to the screen in the film DOLEMITE IS MY NAME directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow, Black Snake Moan).
