The riders are not here to show God attacking humanity, instead God is showing the weakness of the peace that we think we have bought. The wrath of the lamb is the removal of the protection of the scapegoat mechanism. The wrath of God is not directed against us, the wrath of God is when God allows us to see what we've really been doing all along.
