Morning Report 11 Jan 21: US sharemarkets rose to record highs on Friday

President elect Joe Biden said the upcoming economic stimulus package will be 'in the trillions of dollars'. The Dow Jones rose by 57 points or 0.2% to record highs. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.6% to record highs. And the Nasdaq index gained 134.5 points or 1.0% to record highs. Over the week the Dow rose 1.6%; the S&P500 rose 1.8%; and the Nasdaq rose 2.4%.
