US Mid-Session 18 Jan 17: BREXIT pain for the FTSE and US lower

European shares eased on Tuesday. There was much focus on a speech by the UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, who laid out plans for the country to leave the European Union. 

US sharemarkets eased on Tuesday, dragged lower by weakness in the financials and healthcare sectors.
