Fitzgerald calls for more gender quality in business

The European Parliament has heard that less than 30 per cent of board members in the largest publicly listed EU companies are women while just 8 per cent are CEOs.

MEPs are now calling for a long-awaited plan on equality in business to get moving.

The ‘Women on Boards Directive’ has been held up since 2012 due to objections from some member states.
