While best known for accolades like national and world championship titles in martial arts, being named one of the top 100 trainers in the world by Mens Journal and trainer for elite professionals including the DEA, FBI, Secret Service, and athletes including players for the Phillies, Dodgers, and Eagles, Steve Maxwell's legacy in the world of fitness, health is one that transcends the mere physical with one rare quality that sets him a class apart from most contemporaries: wisdom.
At 70, Maxwell is fitter than many 20-year-olds, still travels the world teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and works intensely with clients and students online, a medium he had mastered decades before digital nomadism or remote work was established as a mainstream form of education.
We address these topics and more in one of his rarest interviews that reveals parts of his past that very few are aware of: his musical upbringing and background.
Additionally, we touch upon many others that the conventional 'fitness' milieu would possibly frown at, including coffee enemas, the power of prayer, unpacking the dichotomies of physical violence and our common passion for astrology.
