How many women do you know are graduates of Army Ranger School and have harvested a beautiful bull elk? Lt. Colonel Lisa Jaster sits down and has a great conversation with me about her time in the US Army and Army Reserves. She and I discuss how important the outdoors is in our life and in our families lives. We also talk about men and women in "traditional roles". Her platform "delete the adjective" is one that she is passionate about. We discuss how we all have our differences but we all have some commonalities as well. Is it necessary to talk about us saying "she is a female hunter"? Or to say "he is a male hunter"? Same for the military..."she is a female soldier". It is a double emphasis on gender instead of what you are truly defining. I am grateful for Lisa and her conversation. Let us know what you think!
