US Close 25 Aug 16: US investors cautious ahead of Jackson Hole, WOW and DJS out today

US sharemarkets eased on Wednesday with weakness concentrated in the materials and healthcare sectors. Shares in Mylan fell by 5.4% as political pressures mounted on the company in the wake of recent price increases announced for its EpiPen allergy treatment. Shares in gold miner Newmont fell by 7.7% as the gold price fell. The Dow Jones index fell by 66 points or 0.4%. The S&P 500 index lost 0.5% and the Nasdaq fell by 42 points or 0.8%.
