Feasts of the Old Testament (10) - The Day of Atonement

5/5/21 - The scapegoat is led away into the wilderness bearing all the sin of Israel on his head. There he is released and never seen again, thereby separating Israel from all their sins. Thank God for our scapegoat and fit man, Jesus Christ, who perfectly completed God's plan for redemption and bore our sins to the cross.

God gave many prophecies, types and shadows in the Old Testament of the future work His son Christ Jesus, many of which are hidden in the feasts and ceremonies given unto Israel. We pray the Lord Jesus be clearly seen as we study through seven of the Old Testament feasts. How marvelous it is to see our Savior pictured so clearly hundreds of years before His advent!
