It’s Friday everyone and that means it’s time for some super motivation to get you up on your feet, filled with hope and energy to get you back in action for another inspired next week.Today we’re going to talk about why you should track your progress.
Tracking your progress is extremely important to be able to achieve your goal. If you don’t track where you are in life you can reach your goal and soar right past it but never feel like you have reached your goal or ever will. Now if that doesn’t make sense to you and you’re thinking well of course I’ll know when I’ve reached my goal let me explain why.
Let’s say for example you get a headache. It’s painful, you can’t focus and you want it to go away. Now how many times have you found yourself hours later realizing to yourself “hey my headache is gone” and not even knowing when it went away?
This is why it’s important to track your goals. Because as people we always begin to focus on what’s next, what’s coming after, what else is there. And so as a result we live our lives always focusing on our next goal without ever focusing on, or at least losing attention, on our current goal. Which means we never have moments where we realize we reached our goal. We may know that we’ve gotten somewhere but we don’t always realize how far we actually have gotten.
So that’s why it is so important to track our goals and look back where we started so that we can know when we finally reach one of those goals and remember to take time to celebrate. And by celebrating these goals we recharge our bodies with motivation and the desire to push even harder towards our next set of goals.
