Elahe Izadi is a good friend of mine and a very funny local comic who has been performing in the area for years. She is also a pop culture writer for the Washington Post. Elahe and I were both at The Kennedy Center on Sunday night for the Mark Twain Prize which was given to Dave Chappelle. We talk about that night and what it’s like trying to balance stand-up comedy and being a full-time journalist.
