Market Close 4 July 19: ASX 200 closes in on record highs after a fourth day of gains

The big banks rose on Thursday providing a foundation for the ASX 200 ending at the highest levels since November 2007. Major miners are weighed with Rio Tinto (RIO), Fortescue Metals (FMG) and BHP Group (BHP) ending lower.
