Splashback is the technical term for urine that splashes out of
men's urinals and onto the floor or walls. It’s the bane of every maintenance person who has to mop it up and anyone who shares a home with an inattentive man or boy. But in the early 1990s a fly changed everything!

Splashback is the technical term for urine that splashes out of
men's urinals and onto the floor or walls. It’s the bane of every maintenance person who has to mop it up and anyone who shares a home with an inattentive man or boy. But in the early 1990s, Jos van Bedaf, a manager in the custodial department at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, had the idea to place a decal depicting a fly in
the urinals, for target practice. The result? According to Klaus Reichardt, inventor of the waterless urinal, half as much splashback-
some claim a reduction as high as 80 percent. The fly is particularly effective because males think of it as unsanitary and unconsciously
believe a stream of pee can kill it.
Philippians 3:12-14 I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.
15-16 So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.
You must realize that the purpose and plan of sanctification is that it is a process. What is sanctification? It is the process of becoming more like Jesus.
Much like a rocket… a rocket is off course the majority of the time while in flight… but it is ALWAYS recalibrating to stay on target to reach it’s goal.
Did you catch that? Staying on target is a must to reach your goal. You can do a lot of things… all good things, but if it is not on target to reach your goal then you simply have a lot of accomplishments but no purpose or meaning… and you have not reached the goal of being more like Christ.
Paul says I have my eye on the goal… Have you ever had that phenomenon where you never notice a red toyota until your wife or someone says “I really like those red Toyotas”. Then for some strange reason you start seeing them all over. When we took a vacation to Florida a few years back we rented an Acadia and we loved it. Kim and I both said we had never seen one in Minnesota and we both thought maybe it’s because they are not good in snow or cold weather… Made sense to us anyway. I kid you not, we flew home and landed in the airport and just waiting to be picked up we saw 4 Acadia’s… they were everywhere!
So what do you focus on in your Christian walk? Because what you focus on you will see more of and manifest.
It all depends on your goals…
If you want to see God more, see more people come to Christ, see God use your more, have the Holy Spirit move in your more… focus on that and you will see it happen every day!
You will see opportunities every day.
8 ideas to readjust your goals and focus.
-1 Material possessions won’t make you better or happier, so if that’s a goal check it off your list now.
- 2 You can’t make everyone happy if it is your goal you are bound to lose yourself and feel miserable.
- 3 Being perfect is an unrealistic goal. Be a little more like Jesus every day should be the goal.
- 4 Your achievements and successes won’t matter on your deathbed if they didn’t make your more like Christ.
- 5 The more you want to find happiness in the outside world the more likely you will fail. Happiness is based on Happenstance, The goal should be fulfillment.
- 6 Your actions speak louder than your words. Stop trying to influence others with what you say but make it a goal to influence them by what you do.
- 7 You will die and have no idea when so don’t waste time on anything else other than the goal to be like Jesus.
- 8 Your talent is not only sent from God it also grows when you make a consistent effort and practice to be more like him.
