Guru Nanak Sahib ji left Talwandi to live with his sister, Bebe Nanaki, and her husband, Jairam Das, in Sultanpur. The Governor of Sultanpur hired Guru ji to manage the storehouse. It was quite an important job.

After a few years, Guru ji invited his best friend, Bhai Mardana, to live with him.
