European Parliament votes for zero-CO2 cars

Cars must be zero emission by 2035 under a new law. The European Parliament has voted through the new law which will ban carbon dioxide emissions from new cars and vans. As a stepping stone, emissions must be cut by 55 per cent by 2030 for cars. It comes as a new Google map of Dublin has highlighted pollution hotspots in the capital. Green MEP for Dublin, Ciarán Cuffe, says, in his view, the green revolution will be here well before 2035.
