Chatting about: “Relax and Trust Me”, or Not? 

In this episode we talk about two different methods of training: 1. Where we teach the horse to relax and trust the human and do what they are told without question. 2. Where we teach the horse to better use their own sensory system to gather sufficient information to feel safe and make their own good decisions. I prefer and teach the second option. It doesn’t make the first option wrong, there are just some side effects of the first option that I don’t like as much as I like the side effects of the second option.
