Episode 95 of Tripp's Tennis Talk features a Wimbledon 2024 Day 1 recap. Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz opened Centre Court play with a competitive 7-6, 7-5, 6-2 victory against the Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal. Following that, Emma Raducanu got a win 7-6, 6-3 over Renata Zarazua and Coco Gauff destroyed Caroline Dolehide 6-1, 6-2.

On Court 1, Daniil Medvedev beat Kovacevic 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 and Jannik Sinner got past Hanfmann 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 (Keys also won on that court). Elsewhere around the grounds, Grigor Dimitrov, Naomi Osaka, Bianca Andreescu, Jasmine Paolini, Maria Sakkari, Matteo Berrettini, and Gael Monfils also acquired victories.
