demon = A person without a body
(they can have personalities)

person = a being with certain capacities, attributes, can reason, have consciousness, have personhood

Most will not be possesed (their will can resist), many will be influenced or oppressed

 

demonic objective
1. torment & torture
- physical & mental cast down

2. keep from knowing Christ
- difficult at heart soften, growth stunt
- subdue the flesh, kill it daily

 

demonic characteristics
- Entice = use words (people)
- Harass = steal joy (strength)
- Torment = suggestions (mind)
- Torment = fear (emotions)
- Torment = pain (body)
- Compel = action no forethought
