Working out Faith Growing up in the Korean-American Immigrant Church (Convo)

Many Korean-Americans born in this country if they grow up in the Korean-American church find they have to live in two very different cultures. As with many immigrant churches the dynamics of the immigrant church are to strongly preserve a conservative slice of the culture the immigrant left. The contrasts between conservative Korean culture and American culture are extreme. Hierarchical submissive conformity vs egalitarian expressive individualism. Many children of immigrants leave the Korean-American church and never look back. This young man tells his story.
