Mid-Session 23 July 19: ASX 200 advances in early trade, helped by a recovery for banks

The ASX 200 is ahead by 0.3% at lunch on Tuesday after posting a modest loss on Monday. Materials names are the only sector to lower at lunch after iron ore prices eased in the last day. Kogan shares jumped after a well received trading update.
