I'm SO excited to share this conversation with Alexandra Beller with you all.

After many years touring internationally as a professional dancer with the Bill T Jone/Arnie Zane Dance Company, she founded Alexandra Beller/Dances in 2003, creating over 50 original Dance-Theater works for her own company and Universities around the world. She became a Certified Movement Analyst in 2015 and transitioned into choreographing and directing for Theater. She has been on the creative team for numerous Off-Broadway and national shows. She started the artistic community Praxispace in 2020, a place to support artists in the creative process. She is writing a book about art-making called "The Anatomy of Art." She is currently studying to become an Intimacy Director. 

In this conversation we talk about fatphobia and body biases in the dance industry, and dive deeply into how to give and receive creative feedback in a way that is safe and generative.
