The Film That Almost Made David Fincher Quit Directing

The director of this film has completely disowned it and to this day refuses to talk about it. Filming had begun even though the script wasn’t finished. A studio that wanted a big Hollywood Summer blockbuster, but got a grimy, grounded horror film instead. Within it’s franchise, it is the most controversial entry amongst fans. There was even a cartoon spin-off pilot for this movie. What went wrong? James Cameron considered this film “a slap in the face”. The lead actor begged that their character be killed off. The tag-line for this film was: The bitch is back.
