My live-streamed Dhamma talk and our sangha discussion on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, is the ninth class of our 26-class Loca Knowledge Uncommon Dhamma Structured Study of (mostly) lesser-known suttas. This week’s study is on the Agantuka Sutta. In the Agantuka Sutta, the Buddha uses the metaphor of a common residence to show that the Eightfold Path is a true refuge for anyone seeking to develop a profound understanding of the nature of stress and suffering, gain insight into the Three Marks of Existence, and abandon all views rooted in ignorance of Four Noble Truths.
“Friends, I will teach the value of developing direct knowledge and profound wisdom. Listen carefully...”
