Today I am chatting with Kelly Van Nelson, the Managing Director of a Fortune 500 company and a talented writer. Her most recent book of poetry, Graffiti Lane is a number one best seller. This episode  has a powerful message about the value of a the more mature employee. Many of us fear the tap on the shoulder and being shown the door and then faced with the difficulty of finding employment after 50. However the value, the maturity, the knowledge and skills that the more mature employees have developed, brings a positive balance to a workplace. Never under-estimate the role the over fifties play. Kelly shares some of her poetry readings throughout the interview.
