Veteran’s Day is coming up, so we’re celebrating by spending the whole month tributing the troops in an event we’re calling #GoNutsNovember. That’s a whole month of action flicks about our brave fighting men. Our first cinematic veteran is Rutger Hauer, who plays an expert swordsman blinded during the Vietnam War in our movie of the week, BLIND FURY (1989). Over the course of his adventure he reconnects with that creep who murdered families in THE STEPFATHER, builds a relationship with a very young JT from STEP-BY-STEP, and even gets to practice his physical comedy chops, Buster Keaton-style. People get their nads sliced off with a sword, it’s fun!
