Market Close 17 Feb 22: ASX 200 ekes out modest gain

The Australian sharemarket rose by 0.16%, lifting for a 2nd day but fading from a more significant improvement earlier. Telstra (TLS) and Wesfarmers (WES) fell heavily after handing down their results while Woodside (WPL) strengthened by close to 5%.
